Sure proof of this is our investment in a woodchip-fired heat plant, which was erected in 2006. Thanks to modern technology, we are now in the position of being able to produce the required process steam and heating energy our company needs at no cost to the environment. Wood, a renewable energy source, only releases as much carbon dioxide into the atmosphere during energy production for our manufacturing process as the trees absorbed while they were growing. This carbon-neutral energy supply does not just guarantee our company an exemplary carbon footprint. It also means that our production plants are not dependent on fossil fuels. |
